WEmpower Pakistan is the first initiative of its kind in the country, and every step of building it — from the earliest webinars to today's global mentor network — has been carried by a small group of women researchers who chose to do this work on top of full research careers.
Built by researchers who
refused to wait for permission.
Before WEmpower Pakistan, there was no dedicated, women-led organisation in the country building this specific bridge — vetted mentorship, structured education, and curated global opportunities for Pakistani women in STEM, all under one roof. Setting that up meant registering the entity, designing the programs from scratch, and slowly earning trust across universities, industry, and the diaspora.
Our directors and core team have done that work in parallel with their own research careers, giving it the hours it needed evenings, weekends, and everything in between. What follows is the group of people who show up for this every week.
