School of Chemical and Materials Engineering (SCME)

SCME has a strong tradition of holding seminars and talks on contemporary topics of interest — both in the specific fields of study pursued at the School and areas of wider significance. Internationally recognised faculty involved in cutting-edge contemporary research, together with well-equipped, state-of-the-art labs and learning resources, provide an ideal setting for professional growth.

The School of Chemical and Materials Engineering commenced its programmes in 2006 and currently offers undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in the twin disciplines of Chemical Engineering and Materials Engineering. SCME encourages, supports, and celebrates exceptional approaches to teaching that excite and inspire engineering students in a supportive and challenging environment.

WEmpower Pakistan

WEmpower Pakistan is an international organisation, founded by a group of young Pakistani researchers, that supports, encourages, and enables researchers to pursue education and careers in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM). Our aim is to build a strong consortium in Pakistan — public and private sector — in order to develop a professional training resource for and by young scientists.

WEmpower Pakistan, in collaboration with NUST, aimed to bridge the gap between industry and academia through CoMSID 2022 — a consortium approach to highlighting advances in materials sciences to the Pakistani scientific community.
